Local owners, Robert Reichel, Steve Walker and Tom Cottrell are pleased to announce the addition of cocktails, spirits and tap beer to their current wine bar concept. The arrival of Grand Cru Mixologie Lounge will make its debut on Monday, August 16th, 2010. Speaking on behalf of all partners, Walker said, "This enhancement to our offer has been in the works for a while. Grand Cru Wine Bar and Wine Shop were pioneer establishments in the Ashwood Park District of Bellevue 16 months ago when we opened. As the new residential units around us begin to reach capacity, our customers’ desire for cocktails has been quite vocal…and we’re simply responding." Grand Cru Mixologie Lounge will continue to gratify wine enthusiasts from around the region by maintaining an eclectic wine by-the-glass program and creating a new connoisseur’s half-bottle program. A significant number of wines will still be available by the full bottle on an extended wine list and Captain’s list.

Rob, Steve and Tom have brought on seasoned eastside hospitality professional, Jean O’Neill, as General Manager of Grand Cru Mixologie Lounge. Ms. O’Neill has created a cocktail program upon the philosophy that Grand Cru will be a place where every customer can count on getting a well-made drink each and every time they visit. From the classics to over a dozen signature cocktails, careful thought has been put into each creation to ensure guests are not only wowed by the quality, but feel they paid a fair price. "We want to be the neighborhood bar. Whether folks are coming in to meet friends or making new ones, it is our goal that they have a memorable experience," said O’Neill.

Among the highlights of Grand Cru’s Signature cocktails is the Rita B. Martini, Ms. O’Neill’s twist on the classic margarita which includes a splash of beer. In addition, Grand Cru Mixologie Lounge has also created a new affordable, Happy Hour Bar Menu with several new items, including a mouth-watering, half-pound Kobe Beef Burger with a terragon aioli and caramelized onions served with french fries. The owners have also made decorative and functional changes to the premises by adding new flat screen TVs throughout and new furniture to give the space a more comfortable, lounge feel.
